Meet Jennifer, Nutrition Consultant

The South Bay School of Cooking is excited to welcome Jennifer Bevilacqua who will be co-teaching or solo teaching nutritionally-hip classes for a variety of health concerns plaguing mothers, families, diabetics, and anyone who wants to make healthy lifestyle changes in their lives. She will be consulting with SBSOC on all our classes including kids’ cooking classes to ensure that health and well being prevails in the kitchen.

With a master’s degree in holistic nutrition, Jennifer has been feeling good about helping others make healthy lifestyle changes by working as a nutrition consultant for many years. Her simple and realistic approach conveys that one-size-does-NOT-fit-all since everyone faces different health challenges.


One of the problems plaguing moms with busy families is the availability of processed fast and microwaveable foods that lack any nutritional value and can cause diseases and lethargy over the long term.

As with every class at the South Bay School of Cooking, you are bound to learn a lot of nutritional tips and tricks along the way. During the winter 2007 quarter, her classes included:

o Eat Well, Weigh Less, Nutritionally-Wise Cooking Series

o Diabetic Dining

o Great Grains: Alternatives to Wheat

o Naturally Sweet

Jennifer also teaches hatha yoga. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors and active, reading, cooking, and sharing great meals with friends.

Bevilacqua is an Italian word meaning to drink water. Since 75 percent of the population is chronically dehydrated, she recommends raising your glass or bottle and drinking water for your good health.
