Our quintessential hands-on class pairs cutting, sautéing, roasting, and essential knife skills with purchasing, food storage, and tips for beginners and kitchen veterans alike to create artful dishes at home. This series will focus on fearless side dishes, and those sacred cooking tops that only a professional can share.

Happy Hounds Dog food Class Annie Siegmann of Ruff-Ruff Bakery--makers of all natural pet treats and biscuits, will lead the hands-on class as you make three dog meals and a treat to take home. Annie will talk about natural ways to care for your dog through foods. Learn why preparing food for your hound is healthier than store bought. Annie’s treats are sold at Whole Foods and she can be found at the Torrance, LA & Hollywood Farmers’ Markets.
Sushi Making Chef Manny Castillo will teach the creative art of sushi making. Take a hands on journey as you learn to make perfect sushi rice then rock and roll by making various styles of sushi rolls—California rolls, spicey tuna, inside out rolls, hand rolls, and nigiri. Eat, drink, and kampai. Find out where to purchase sushi grade fish, nori (seaweed), rolling mats, condiments, and garnishes. You may bring beer or sake to share.
